Taking a detour into Filemaker Pro 16.On April 15, I talked to a friend who was thinking of hiring a freelancer to build a Filemaker solution for her small (~5 people) business. Was flooded by very fond memories of using Filemaker to build a relational database for a small nonprofit ($124K/yr budget) back in 2002. Such a pleasure to analyze a situation and build a solution. Soothing, like untangling knots, building clarity.
The friend eventually decided to take another path, but I had fun designing, and on June 5 I finished a prototype anyway (using a two week free trial of the software).
